At Vooks we are proud to serve people of different backgrounds all over the world. Our number one goal is to promote literacy by inspiring a love of reading in children. We know that a child’s success is greatly impacted by their access to books and their ability to read. The power of literacy drives our core mission and focus. Outside of our core mission, there are many important subjects throughout the world that are better addressed by parents and guardians—as they can best lead their children and tailor the experience as individually needed. With such a diversity of experiences around the world, Vooks wishes to empower parents and guardians with a space to encourage a love of reading, that also does not overstep the role of the parent or guardian in guiding and shaping their child’s development. We will soon be launching additional tools to better allow parents and guardians to choose what content on Vooks is best for the children to have access to.
Our mission is plain and simple: to inspire a love of reading in children around the world! We try to focus on that mission very closely, and avoid anything that could potentially limit that mission. Truly, we want every kid we can reach to fall in love with reading! Hopefully, that even means kids who might not otherwise have access to books. Studies show a child’s success is greatly impacted by how many books they have in their home. In addition, teaching a child to read will open up countless opportunities throughout life. A love of reading is something everyone deserves!
We are always on the search for quality books and stories from all over the world. We welcome suggestions directed to us via info@vooks.com. Not all books are the right fit for the Vooks platform—a myriad of factors are involved, including licensing, scheduling, costs, content, availabilities, quality, etc—but we do appreciate every suggestion.
