The video is skipping or lagging, what can I do?

Here's a list of solutions or devices that should help fix your playback issue:



Computer:

iOS (iPhone & iPad):


  • Try using the Vooks iOS app to play the videos. If you are having trouble with the app, try these things:
  • If you are having trouble within the web browser of the device, try these things:

Android:


  • Make sure you have a fast and stable internet connection. We recommend a minimum download speed of 10Mbps for smooth playback. 
  • Restart the Android device.
  • Reboot your internet modem and/or wireless router.


If having trouble with the Vooks app, try these things:


  • Logout of the app and log back in.
  • Completely close and restart the app.
  • Close the app, and turn off the Wifi on your device. Turn Wifi back on and open the app.
  • Restart your device and open the app.

Apple TV:


  • Make sure you have a fast and stable internet connection. We recommend a minimum download speed of 10Mbps for smooth playback. 
  • Restart the Apple TV device.
  • Reboot your internet modem and/or wireless router.

Roku:


  • Make sure you have a fast and stable internet connection. We recommend a minimum download speed of 10Mbps for smooth playback. 
  • Restart the Roku device.
  • Reboot your internet modem and/or wireless router.

Chromecast: 


  • Make sure your device and Chromecast are on the same wifi network.
  • Make sure you have a fast and stable internet connection. We recommend a minimum download speed of 10Mbps for smooth playback. 
  • Unplug your Chromecast and plug it back in.
  • Restart your wireless router or modem.
